Ode to solitude.
This project is not to glorify solitude but to show its beauty.
The beauty when you wake up and the morning is all wonky and glitchy, but you have the liberty to leave the house in a mess and disarray.
The beauty of that moment when everyone leaves your house after a gathering, and even though you enjoyed the company, the relief of empty space and quiet is priceless.
The beauty of emptiness and clean start.
The beauty of leaving the shoes where you took them off, you’ll pick them up tomorrow, and they will be in no one’s way except your own.
The beauty and humor of not finding the shoe and, for some reason, the very last place you go to look is under the bed. How the hell did it end up there?
The beauty of looking at the bare wall and finding comfort and safety in it.
By now, you probably realize I love solitude, my foremost comfortable comfort zone, but it’s to enjoy in moderation, as most things.
